Turning the Page: A New Era of Growth and Innovation

As academic health centers advance in a new era, they are “turning the page” and leading with extraordinary innovations in their missions of research, patient care, and education, as well as organizing the systems that support and align these missions. This year, the AAHC Senior Administrative/Fiscal Officers (SAFO) executive leadership group focused on innovation as the meeting returned to an in-person gathering. Sessions covered a wide range of issues, including the future of funding and finance, telework and telehealth policies, academic health’s responses to mental health issues, managing government funding opportunities, and more.
