2007 Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Bills

The following letter was sent to all members of congress. The AAHC signed on, along with members of the Health Professions and Nursing Education Coalition, to urge congress to fund fully the health professions education programs by providing at least $300 million for Title VII health professions programs and $175 million for Title VIII nursing programs in the FY 2007 budget.

2007 HRSA Budget

The following letter was sent to all members of congress. The AAHC signed on, along with members of the Friends of the Health Resources and Services Administration Coalition, to urge congress to provide at least $7.5 billion for the vital programs and services funded through HRSA in the FY07 Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill.

Sunset Commissions

The following letter was faxed to all members of Congress. The AAHC signed with 115 other organizations to oppose legislation that would enhance the line item veto and create sunset commissions with the potential to reorganize or abolish federal programs and agencies.

Letter to Senate Budget Committee

The following letter was sent to Judd Gregg, Chair of the Senate Budget Committee on behalf of the Association of Academic Health Centers to urge him to ensure that the congressional budget resolution for FY2007 protects and enhances the nation’s health, science, higher education, and economic infrastructure by supporting biomedical research, health professions education, and patient care services through Medicare and Medicaid.

Function 550 Letter
