The Forum will address a variety of regulatory areas that are currently experiencing significant change or expansion.   Dr. Peter Budetti, deputy administrator of the newly-created Center for Program Integrity at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is confirmed and will address the future of CMS and how health care reform might impact the agency.  Kathleen King of the Government Accountability Office has also confirmed and will share the results of the new GAO study on Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors.  Other topics  include clinical trials coverage in the health care reform legislation, evaluation and management services, amendments to the False Claims Act, breach notification policies, improving communication with oversight and advisory boards, and managing institutional conflicts of interest and relationships with industry.

CANCELLATION/SUBSTITUTION POLICY:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to afranks@aahcdc.org or via fax to (202) 265-7514 no later than Wednesday, April 14, 2010.  Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this date.  Registration fees, less a $45 administrative fee will be refunded for any cancellations received prior to Wednesday, April 14, 2010.  There are no refunds for registration forms & payments received after Wednesday, April 14, 2010.  There is no charge for substitutions.  No-shows will not be refunded.

GENERAL MEETING INFORMATION
The dress code for the meeting is business casual.  Registration will open at 8:00 am on Thursday, May 13, and the meeting will begin at 8:30 am. The meeting will conclude on Friday, May 14, at 12:15 pm.  Please arrange your travel accordingly.

For room reservations contact The Dupont Hotel directly at (866) 534-6835 (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5 pm) and request the AAHC Forum on Regulation group rate of $239 single/double occupancy.  The hotel reservation cut-off date is Wednesday, April 21, 2010.  However, we cannot guarantee that our block of room will not sell out prior to this date-therefore, early reservations are strongly recommended.  Reservations received after Wednesday, April 21, 2010, will be filled on a space available basis.
 
All cancellations of hotel reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the arrival date or the AAHC rate will apply.  Contact the hotel directly with reservation cancellations: (866) 534-6835 (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5 pm).
 
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.  Should you arrive early the hotel will make every attempt to accommodate you.  However, if a room is not available at that time the hotel will store your luggage until your room is available.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Ronald Regan National Airport is located about 7 miles from the Dupont Hotel.  Taxis are available at the airport and the one way fare from the airport to the Dupont Hotel is approximately $20.00.
 
SuperShuttle door-to-door service is also available at the Ronald Regan National Airport. Shuttles operate on a shared ride-on demand basis. For information, call 1-800-BLUEVAN or go to www.supershuttle.com.  Upon arrival to Ronald Regan National Airport proceed to the outside curb and contact the SuperShuttle representative. After hours, call 1-800-258-3826 and press 1 for dispatch or 2 for reservations.
 
If you would like to take the subway from Reagan National Airport, Metrorail can be accessed from Terminal B and C by using either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level which connect directly to the station.  The closest stop to the Dupont hotel is Dupont Circle (Red Line).
