The 2015 AAHC Research Meeting, The Obesity Epidemic and Emerging Trends in Health Science Research. This year’s meeting program will focus on the science of obesity, with additional sessions on “big data,” population health, and new funding sources and trends.

AAHCI is working with Peking University in Beijing, China, to bring together a wide variety of leaders from the region to discuss critical issues and pressing global concerns of academic health centers. The meeting will be themed “Cultivating Health Professions for the 21st Century” and will include a networking reception on Wednesday, a banquet on Thursday, and a supplementary tour on Friday.
The Politics of Healthcare

This year’s meeting will examine the complicated intersection of politics and healthcare. Topics to be explored include: the politics of healthcare delivery, the politics of science, and the politics of graduate medical education.
Restructuring the Missions

In an environment of shrinking budgets, increased costs, and unceasing demands for improvement, academic health center leaders must continuously reallocate resources to effectively serve their institutional missions.
