This program, themed Advancing Clinical Translational Research, examined the role academic health centers play in transforming today's scientific discoveries into the medical applications of the future.  Meeting participants heard the ideas of global thought leaders and learned about successful translational research models from around the world.

Session topics included: The Role of Academic Health Centers in Translational Research, Translational Science and Education, Education Simulation and Innovation, Models of Industry-Academic Partnerships, The Globalization of Translational Research, The Role of Funding Agencies, and panel presentations by AAHC and AAHCI members.
