The 2016 AAHC Research Meeting, themed Precision Medicine: Promises and Challenges, explored the challenges facing academic health centers and the recent discoveries, new strategies, and best practices they are applying to accelerate a paradigm shift in research and clinical practice. This program provided speakers and presentations that inspired high-level and in-depth discussions focused on the scientific, ethical, and funding landscape impacting precision medicine as well as the implications for academic health centers.
The AAHC Research Meeting is designed for current and aspiring research leaders, and registration was open to faculty and staff from AAHC member institutions. Those encouraged to attend included: vice presidents for research, deans, associate/vice deans and chancellors for research, administrative and fiscal officers, compliance and legal officers, institute and center directors, and department chairs.
The Research Meeting is an excellent opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences.
